Installation

The most common installation jobs currently one by GHT are the mounting of LCD TVs on the wall and hiding cables in the wall.  As a comparison, local big-box retailers (BBRs) will charge upwards of $299 to simply attach the LCD mount to the wall and then hang the TV.  This does not include the price of the mount (which you are generally over-charged for), nor does it include hiding the wires in the wall.  Typically the simple mounting of the TV is a 1-2 hour job for GHT, and you can expect to pay approximately $125, a 58% savings over the BBR.  The hiding of cabling in the wall (interior walls) typically involves cutting two junction box holes, placing wall plates in them, and running the wire staight down to an entertainment center.  This is another 1-2 hours.  Therefore, to do both parts of this installation, you still save over the simple mounting charges of the BBRs.**

** Cable hiding, as done by GHT, will consist only of running cables down a wall and between two studs.  In no case will we attempt to cross the wall through studs.  That is beyond the scope of the work we choose, due to the complexity and liability involved.  However, if you have attic access above the room, GHT, at its discretion, may decide that running the cable up into the attic and down through another row of studs is feasible, and will then work that task for the client.

Other installation projects have been, on a one story house with attic access above, the installation of in-wall/in-ceiling speakers.  Wire can be dropped down one wall to where the components will sit, and then be run in the attic to the wall/ceiling location where the speakers will be installed.
